JOIN US FOR A DAY OF BIKING, BREWS, AND A TRADITIONAL GERMAN OKTOBERFEST CELEBRATION!
Be one of the first to ride on the 2.7 miles of new Towpath Trail!
Enjoy a bike ride featuring new sections of the Towpath Trail, followed by an Oktoberfest fun for all ages! The event begins at 4:00pm with a bike ride starting at Canal Lands Park, 8645 Dover-Zoar Road in Zoar. Once riders leave from Canal Lands Trailhead they can either travel south to State Route 800, which is 6 miles round trip, or they can head north to Fort Laurens, which is also 6 miles round trip. Riders are welcome to complete either a 6 mile bike ride, the full 12 miles, or anywhere in between.
At 5:00pm, the Oktoberfest begins at the Canal Tavern of Zoar with Oktoberfest Beer, German food, root beer floats, a live German band, and great raffle prizes. The first 175 tickets sold will receive a commemorative "Bike & Brew" glass! Participants can choose to come directly to the Canal Tavern of Zoar if they do not wish to bike ride. Tickets are $30 in advance, $35 the day of the event, and $5 for children from 5 to 16 years.

This year's raffle will feature amazing prizes from the Columbus Zoo, Canal Fulton Glassworks, Tom Jones Photography, Pittsburgh Zoo, Ernie's Bike Shop, The Keeping Room, Sluggers and Putters, The Cider Mill of Zoar, Westbrook's Cannery and more! Raffle tickets will be sold for $5 each or 3 for $10 or 5 for $20.
Proceeds for "Bike & Brew will benefit the Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition in their efforts to develop the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail in Tuscarawas County.
