Canal Cleanups offer Towpath Trail users the opportunity to keep our natural spaces healthy and thriving for generations to come. On average, more than 3 tons of trash have been removed annually since the program began in the early 2000s, transforming Towpath destinations like Summit Lake and the aqueduct bridge in Bolivar. All are welcome, from adults to children, as we build stewardship of our recreational and natural spaces throughout the Ohio & Erie Canalway National Heritage Area.
All cleanups are held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
