Established in 1989, Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition is a private, non-profit organization working on the development of the Ohio & Erie Canal Heritage Canalway. The Coalition provides educational programs, events and publications about the Heritage Canalway while developing strong working relationships with partners to preserve and interpret the natural, historical and recreational resources throughout the corridor.

2009 Towpath Classic
Come join us for the 2009 Towpath Classic Golf Outing
The 6th annual Towpath Classic will be held at the beautiful Turkeyfoot Golf Course in the Portage Lakes on Thursday, July 16th. This scramble outing will begin with registration at 8 a.m. and a shotgun start at 9 a.m. There are great prizes for the ladies and men and great raffle prizes including a foursome at Firestone Country Club!

Tour Du Towpath Bicycling Event
9 a.m. Saturday, August 8 2009
The bicycle rides begin in Canal Fulton at the Canalway Visitors Center, 125 Tuscarawas Street. There are four tours to choose from with registration times starting at 9 a.m.
You will return to the Canalway Center at the end of your ride where we will be serving a barbeque lunch with music and prizes.
