FirstMerit Towpath Century Ride

The Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition is coordinating the FIRSTMERIT Towpath Century Ride on May 14 and 15, 2011 to raise much needed funds for the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail. Sponsored by FIRSTMERIT, approximately 50 bicycle riders will bicycle the entire length of the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail, from the lakefront in Cleveland to the southern terminus in New Philadelphia, Ohio, a distance of 101-miles. Each bicycle rider secures pledges per-mile, with the goal of raising $1,000, and all of the proceeds of the event benefit the development of the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail. Currently, 40 bicyclists have registered to ride the FIRSTMERIT Towpath Century Ride.
