Organized in 2002, the Bolivar Main Street Renaissance Association is dedicated to preserving, interpreting, and celebrating the village’s heritage through public events, activities, and projects. Main goals include bringing activities back to the downtown business district and creating public awareness about the village. The association has been an important part of the planning to bring the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail through Bolivar, recognizing the importance of preserving this important history and the value it will add to economic development.
