Tanner is one of two Event Coordinators on the team leading the planning of the Huntington Towpath Century Ride, Towpath Classic Golf Outing, and other OECC events. He currently lives in the Canton area, and has a passion for service and improving the community. As an Eagle Scout, he has done a lot of different service projects including many clean-ups along the Towpath, roads, in the Stark Parks, and the Tuscarawas river. Throughout high school he participated in different fundraising drives, service projects, and leadership which sparked his interest in public management. Partnered with an interest in technology and how it affects the nonprofit sector, he is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree of public affairs in nonprofit management & leadership with a minor in information systems and music through Indiana University Bloomington. He has worked with the Canton Palace Theatre with volunteer engagement. He also worked in Bloomington with the Lotus Education and Arts Foundation in a similar development role. In the Summer of 2025, Tanner served as a Development Intern within the OECC, getting experience in event planning and fundraising. In his free time, he enjoys playing games of all shapes and sizes (board games, video games, puzzles, etc.). He also has a deep interest in music and loves to attend different concerts and events when the opportunity arises.
